SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Additional options for receiving ERCOT Energy Emergency Alert notifications

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  April 30, 2012

LONG DESCRIPTION:  Market Participants, Stakeholders and consumers may receive emergency notices by way of a new email distribution list for grid emergency notifications as well as through Twitter and Facebook. This new “EmergencyAlerts” list is a self-subscribe, unrestricted list; it will be used only for real-time Energy Emergency Alert (EEA) notifications from the ERCOT Operations emergency notification system. To subscribe or unsubscribe to the “EmergencyAlerts” list, go to http://lists.ercot.com. 

Note that the “Notice_GridCondition” restricted list for Market Participants has been transferred to the new unrestricted “EmergencyAlerts” list. If you were previously subscribed to “Notice_GridCondition” no action is required to continue receiving grid emergency notifications.
