SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Implementation details of revision requests and change controls associated with the implementation of projects PR11002_01 and PR010_01.

INTENDED AUDIENCE:   All Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  June 4, 2012

LONG DESCRIPTION:  On June 4, 2012, ERCOT will implement the Nodal Protocol Revision Requests (NPRRs), System Change Requests (SCRs), Retail Market Guide Revision Requests (RMGRRs) and Texas SET Change Controls identified below as a result of the implementation of PR11002_01, Texas SET 4.0, and PR010_01, MarkeTrak Enhancements for 4.0.

This implementation will unbox the grey-boxed language associated with the following revision requests:

NPRR294, Texas SET 4.0 Including:  Acquisition and Transfer of Customers From One REP to Another; Meter Tampering Transactional Solution, approved by ERCOT Board on April 19, 2011.

·         NPRR294 defines the process for Mass Transition of Electric Service Identifiers (ESI IDs) from one Competitive Retailer (CR) to another CR when transitioning due to an acquisition, the process for switch hold indicator addition and removal, and other various changes deemed to be implemented with Texas Standard Electronic Transaction (TX SET) version 4.0.

NPRR403, Revised FASD Calculation for TX SET Version 4.0 Release, which was approved by the ERCOT Board on December 12, 2011.

·         NPRR403 revises the First Available Switch Date (FASD) calculation to include the availability of same day switches on Saturday.

NPRR448, Clarification of Database Query Results, which was approved by the ERCOT Board on April 17, 2011.

·         NPRR448 clarifies the information returned through a database query or an extract on the Market Information System (MIS) Public Area.

RMGRR092, Changes to Implement an Interim Solution for Critical Care Status and Secondary Contact Information, approved by the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) on December 6, 2010.

RMGRR100, Texas SET 4.0 including:  Acquisition and Transfer of Customers from one REP to Another; Meter Tampering Transactional Solution, which was approved by the TAC on September 1, 2011.

·         RMGRR100 defines the process for Mass Transition of ESI IDs from one CR to another CR when transitioning due to an acquisition as introduced with NPRR294, Texas SET 4.0 Including: Acquisition and Transfer of Customers From One REP to Another; Meter Tampering Transactional Solution, which was approved by the ERCOT Board on April 19, 2011.

RMGRR101, Solution to Stacking, which was approved by the TAC on November 3, 2011.

·         RMGRR101 incorporates the stacking logic as identified in the Solution to Stacking document into the Retail Market Guide (RMG).

RMGRR102, Business Process Changes Related to SCR756, Enhancements to the MarkeTrak Application, which was approved by the TAC on November 3, 2011.

·         RMGRR102 updates the business processes associated with implementation of SCR756.

RMGRR108, Correction to Transactional Process for TX SET 4.0, which was approved by the TAC on April 5, 2012.

·         RMGRR108 corrects a transactional process in the RMG to support changes associated with TX SET Version 4.0 implementation.

In addition, PR010_01, MarkeTrak Enhancements for 4.0 will also implement portions of the language associated with the following SCR:

 

SCR756, Enhancements to the MarkeTrak Application, which was approved by the ERCOT Board on July 20, 2010.

 

o   Improve and standardize Market Participant administration functions;

o   Implement ERCOT validations requested by the MarkeTrak Task Force (MTTF); and

o   Redesign the workflows to leverage potential vendor upgrades to the MarkeTrak application.

This implementation will also apply the updated Texas SET Implementation Guides and Examples with the approved Texas SET Change Controls:

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Pursuant to Protocol Section 21.6, Nodal Protocol Revision Implementation, and Retail Market Guide Section 3.6, Retail Market Guide Revision Request, ERCOT is required to provide notice as soon as practicable, but no later than ten days prior to implementation.
