SHORT DESCRIPTION: A processing issue occurs when replacement 867_03 (05) transactions are submitted on the same day and same timeframe as 867_03 (01) cancels, causing larger than normal amounts of 26, 27 and 05 errors on 867_03
activity reports.

LONG DESCRIPTION: A processing issue occurs when replacement 867_03 (05) transactions are submitted on the same day and for the same timeframe as 867_03 (01) cancels, causing larger than normal amounts of 26, 27 and 05 errors on
867_03 activity reports. The 867_03 (05) transactions are being placed in both the current and next day processing streams which results in the cancel and replacement transactions being ‘canceled out’ and not processed. This causes the 26 (01 transaction
not processed. Matching 00 in same load attempt) and 27 (00 transaction not processed. Matching 01 in same load attempt) errors. When the replacement transaction processes in a subsequent batch run, the data in the settlement system is still present and the
867_03 (05) transaction fails for a 05 (transaction will create an overlap).
ERCOT has completed an initial investigation, identified the problem, and is currently working toward a resolution.
A mitigation strategy for this issue in the interim is to send 867_03 (01) cancel and subsequent 867_03 (05) replacement meter reads one day apart instead of submitting them on the same day.
