SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Unplanned outage of ERCOT systems

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  December 3, 2012, 01:08 CPT – current

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT experienced an unplanned outage due to a hardware failure, which impacted multiple databases and applications beginning at 01:08 CPT on December 3, 2012. Most systems have been switched to the alternate data center. Retail market systems and MarkeTrak are not functional at this time.
