NOTICE DATE: January 22, 2013 NOTICE TYPE: M-B120312-02 NPRR SHORT DESCRIPTION: Implementation details for NPRR397 INTENDED AUDIENCE: QSEs with Resources DAYS AFFECTED: March 4, 2013 LONG DESCRIPTION: On March 4, 2013, ERCOT will begin executing reconfiguration Supplemental Ancillary Services Markets (SASMs) with the implementation of Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 397, Balance of the Day Ancillary Service Market, which was approved by the ERCOT Board on April 17, 2012. NPRR397 allows the SASM to be operated as a balance of the day market for Ancillary Services. This will allow Qualified Scheduling Entities (QSEs) the opportunity to change their Ancillary Service Supply Responsibility for the remainder of the current Operating Day through a reconfiguration SASM, which will be executed at 09:00 CPT daily. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Pursuant to Protocol Section 21.6, Nodal Protocol Revision Implementation, ERCOT is required to provide notice as soon as practicable, but no later than ten days prior to implementation.
