SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Issue with Ancillary Services Offer Update Timing

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT QSEs

DAY AFFECTED:  February 13, 2013-current

LONG DESCRIPTION:  As a result of the software release earlier this week, QSEs are “locked out” of updating Ancillary Services (AS) Offers in the day-ahead until the Adjustment Period opens. Previously, updates/cancels were allowed again as soon as the Day-Ahead Market (DAM) published results. ERCOT plans to release a fix next week to correct this issue. A follow up market notice will be sent at that time.

As a workaround, QSE can either wait until the Adjustment Period opens to update/cancel their AS Offers, or use the expirationTime field upon submission to indicate the time after which the Offer will no longer be considered in the market systems.
