SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Proposal to Disable Willow Valley SPS #32

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  August 6, 2013

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT received a proposal to disable Willow Valley Special Protection System (SPS #32). The SPS #32 is proposed to be disabled after Oncor Electric Delivery Company, LLC (Oncor) completes the installation of  the 345/138 kV autotransformer at the Willow Valley; the expected in-service date of Willow Valley autotransformer is August 26, 2013.  Willow Valley SPS was designed to protect loading of the Lamesa – Willow Valley – Bluff Creek 138 kV line.

The proposal to disable Willow Valley SPS is being reviewed by ERCOT as described in the SPS Approval Procedure.  Comments on the proposal are due by August 19, 2013 and should be submitted to [log in to unmask] using the attached comment form.  Any questions or concerns raised during this timeframe will be addressed by ERCOT Staff or the entity submitting the SPS proposal.
