NOTICE TYPE: M-A082013-01 Financial/Credit
SHORT DESCRIPTION: Revision to M2 Credit Parameter
INTENDED AUDIENCE: Counter-Parties
DAY AFFECTED: September 1, 2013
LONG DESCRIPTION: Protocol Section 16.11.4.1, Determination of Total Potential Exposure for a Counter-Party, defines the Multiplier for URTA (Unbilled Real Time Amount) which provides for unbilled historical activity based on historical activity. It also provides that the multiplier will be recommended by TAC and approved by the ERCOT Board.
The current multiplier for URTA, M2, is 12 days. To accommodate the reduction in the Real Time Market Settlement timeline resulting from the implementation of NPRR509, Shortened RTM Settlement Timeline, on July 16, 2013, the ERCOT Board approved reducing the Multiplier for URTA, M2, from 12 to 10 days effective September 1, 2013.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Pursuant to Protocol Section 21.6, Nodal Protocol Revision Implementation, ERCOT is required to provide notice as soon as practicable, but no later than ten days prior to implementation.
