SHORT DESCRIPTION: Annual Constraint Management Plans Review

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Transmission Operators, and/or Resource Entities with Transmission Facilities, impacted by existing Constraint Management Plans or proposal of new Constraint Management Plans

DAY AFFECTED: February 14, 2014

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT is initiating its annual Constraint Management Plans Review which includes Remedial Action Plans (RAPs), Mitigation Plans (MPs), and Pre-Contingency Action Plans (PCAPs). The study case which will be used for this review has been posted on the Planning and Operations Information site.

Transmission Operators, and/or Resource Entities with Transmission Facilities, impacted by existing Constraint Management Plans are urged to review the case and provide comments and case updates to ERCOT no later than February 14, 2014.

Additionally, if there are any Constraint Management Plans proposed for 2014 they are to be sent to ERCOT by February 14, 2014. All proposed Constraint Management Plans should be formatted using the templates attached.

Transmission Operators and/or Resource Entities with Bulk Electric System (BES) elements specified as a part of approved or proposed Constraint Management Plans will need to provide the “Relay Limitations” for the BES elements to ERCOT for the 2014 Annual Constraint Management Plans Review.

Existing Constraint Management Plans are posted on the Long-Term Planning page of the Market Information System (MIS).

ACTION REQUIRED: Review the study case and provide required information and updates by February 14, 2014.
