PCRR Eligibility Requirements
INTENDED AUDIENCE: ERCOT Market Participants
DAY AFFECTED: May 1, 2014
LONG DESCRIPTION: On May 1, 2014, ERCOT will implement Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 533,
PCRR Eligibility Requirements (formerly “Clarification of PCRR Eligibility Requirements”), which was approved by
the ERCOT Board on April 8, 2014.
NPRR533 clarifies the eligibility for Pre-Assigned Congestion Revenue Rights (PCRRs) subject to changes over time in contracts, Entity relationships, and resource status and capabilities. This NPRR also requires ERCOT to post a list
of Non-Opt-In Entities (NOIEs) who are eligible for allocation of PCRRs, including each NOIE’s ownership and/or contractual amount of capacity related to pre-September 1, 1999, Generation Resources. The eligible PCRR amounts for each Generation Resource will
be capped at the net max sustainable rating, as established by 2010 registration data.
The new report will be posted on the Market Information System (MIS) Public Area in the
CRR Information portlet and on the
CRR Page on ERCOT.com.
