NOTICE TYPE:  W-A122013-02 NPRR

SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Implementation details for NPRR570, Reduce RTM Settlement Timeline to Operating Day Plus Five

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  Settlement and Credit personnel

DAY AFFECTED:  May 1, 2014

LONG DESCRIPTION:  For Operating Day May 1, 2014, ERCOT has implemented Phase 2 of Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 570, Reduce RTM Settlement Timeline to Operating Day Plus Five, as indicated in the notice below. Phase 2 further reduces the posting date for the Initial Settlement Statement to five days after the Operating Day, and also reduces the posting date of the Final Settlement Statement from the 57th day after the Operating Day to the 55th day after the Operating Day.

The Real Time Liability (RTL) calculation as defined in Protocol Section 16.11.4.3 uses estimated Load, which is estimated based on the most recently available QSE Load Ratio Share (LRS) for the corresponding day of the week matching the Operating Day. Implementation of NPRR 570 advances the availability of the corresponding LRS. To reflect this change, the LRS look-back value incorporated in the RTL calculation will be updated from the current 14 days to 7 days. This change will be effective in calculations from May 8, 2014.
