SHORT DESCRIPTION: Implementation details of NPRR576
INTENDED AUDIENCE: ERCOT Market Participants
DAY AFFECTED: June 1, 2014
LONG DESCRIPTION: On June 1, 2014, ERCOT will implement Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 576, Changing Non-Spin Service to be Dispatched by ERCOT, which was approved by the ERCOT Board on April 8, 2014.
The following Section will be updated:
NPRR576 will remove the Off-Line Non-Spin floor and will change the On-Line Non-Spin floor to $75. Related NPRR568, Real-Time Reserve Price Adder Based on Operating Reserve Demand Curve, will delete the floor for Ancillary Service and
will add the price adder. NPRR568 will also be implemented on June 1, 2014.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Pursuant to Nodal Protocol Section 21.6, Nodal Protocol Revision Implementation, ERCOT is required to provide notice as soon as practicable, but no later than ten days prior to implementation.
There are no changes to ERCOT systems required by
NPRR576 and associated documents can be found on the ERCOT website.
