SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Implementation details of NPRR614

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  October 1, 2014

LONG DESCRIPTION:  On October 1, 2014, ERCOT will implement Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 614, Clarification of Telemetered Value of HSL for Combined Cycle Generation Resources providing RRS, which was approved by the ERCOT Board on August 12, 2014. 

NPRR614 clarifies that Combined Cycle Generation Resources providing Responsive Reserve (RRS) may adjust the telemetered High Sustained Limit (HSL) in compliance with Resource limits in providing Ancillary Services.   

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Pursuant to Nodal Protocol Section 21.6, Nodal Protocol Revision Implementation, ERCOT is required to provide notice as soon as practicable, but no later than ten days prior to implementation.   

There are no changes to ERCOT systems required by the implementation of NPRR614.  Associated documents can be found on the ERCOT website.
