SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Implementation details of NPRR580 and automation of NPRR467

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  December 2014

LONG DESCRIPTION:  In December 2014, ERCOT will implement Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 580, Establishment of a Rolling CRR Balancing Account Fund, which was approved by the ERCOT Board on February 11, 2014 and automate NPRR467, Balancing Account Resettlement Due to DAM Resettlement, which was approved by the ERCOT Board on November 13, 2012 and effective December 1, 2012. 

NPRR580 establishes and introduces appropriate calculations for the following Bill Determinants:

· CRRBAFA- CRR Balancing Account Fund Available (current month)

· CRRBAF- CRR Balancing Account Fund Balance (current / previous month)

· FUNDCAP- CRR Balancing Account Fund Cap ($10 million)

NPRR580 functionality will first be used in closing the CRR Balancing Account for operating month of December 2014, and the corresponding CRR Balancing Account Invoice will be posted on January 7, 2015.  The new bill determinant CRRBAF will be included in the corresponding CRR Balancing Account Extract as part of the CRR Output Scalar public file.

The updated CRR Balancing Account Invoice XSD and XSL due to automation of NPRR467 can be found on the ERCOT website, under Wholesale, at http://www.ercot.com/services/mdt/xsds/.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Pursuant to Nodal Protocol Section 21.6, Nodal Protocol Revision Implementation, ERCOT is required to provide notice as soon as practicable, but no later than ten days prior to implementation.
