SHORT DESCRIPTION:  48 Hour Disclosure Report temporarily removed from MIS to be restored later today

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  December 15, 2014

LONG DESCRIPTION:  On December 15, 2014, ERCOT temporarily removed the 48 Hour Highest Price AS Offer Selected (NP3-915-EX) report from the Market Information System (MIS) Public Area due to the discovery of a system issue that, under some circumstances, could result in an erroneous disclosure.  The report is intended to provide the highest-priced Ancillary Service offer and the name of the QSE selected in the Day-Ahead Market for each Hour of each Operating Day, consistent with PUC Rule 25.505(f)(B)(i).  The report is posted on the MIS Public Area within 48 hours after the end of each Operating Day.

ERCOT discovered that the system logic that generates the report was not properly limited to Ancillary Service offers submitted in the Day-Ahead Market (DAM), but instead considered some offers submitted after the close of the DAM.  In some cases, offers submitted after the close of DAM may have been improperly posted because they were higher than those submitted in the DAM.  ERCOT is working to determine the scope of any erroneous disclosure.

Because this posting may have inadvertently revealed Protected Information, ERCOT discontinued publishing this report on December 15, 2014 and removed all previously published reports from the MIS Public Area.   ERCOT is currently implementing a solution to this issue and expects to resume posting the report later today.
