SHORT DESCRIPTION: Completion of Annual Constraint Management Plans Review

INTENDED AUDIENCE: All Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED: May 29, 2015

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT has completed its annual Constraint Management Plans (CMP) Review which includes Remedial Action Plans (RAPs), Mitigation Plans (MPs), and Pre-Contingency Action Plans (PCAPs).

The Constraint Management Plans that are scheduled to be in-service until June 1, 2016, are posted on the Market Information System at Long-Term Planning page of the Market Information System (MIS). A digital certificate is required to access this link.

The annual review was kicked off on March 11, 2015 and over 180 CMP proposals (including existing plans and new submittals) were evaluated as a part of this review.

ERCOT will update this posted list of CMPs in the upcoming weeks for a few proposed CMPs that are still in the review coordination process. ERCOT will issue another Market Notice when all plans have been coordinated and posted to MIS.

SHORT DESCRIPTION: Update - Annual Constraint Management Plans Review

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Transmission Operators and/or Resource Entities with Transmission Facilities, impacted by existing or are proposing new Constraint Management Plans

DAY AFFECTED: April 3, 2015

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT has posted the final study case that will be used for the Annual Constraint Management Plan (CMP) review on the Market Information System (MIS) | Long-Term Planning page at the link below. If there are any case updates or CMP proposals for 2015 that are yet to be submitted, these must be sent to ERCOT by April 3, 2015.

Submitted Special Protection Systems (SPS) and Remedial Action Plans (RAPS)

Any proposed CMPs are required to be submitted using the templates attached with this Market Notice. Also, Transmission Operators and/or Resource Entities with Bulk Electric System (BES) elements specified as a part of approved or proposed CMPs are required to provide the “Relay Limitations” for the BES elements to ERCOT for this review.
