SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Change to ERCOT Hourly Load Data

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  October 27, 2015

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT has updated the Hourly Load Data postings beginning with 2002 to present.  With the updated postings, a change was made in the calculation of the data in order to provide the total load consistent with ERCOT Operations’ method of calculating total load.  Previous versions of this data used Settlements’ method of determining ERCOT total load.  The primary difference between the two methods of calculating ERCOT’s total load is in how Direct Current Ties (DC Ties) are treated.
