SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Implementation Details of NPRR706

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  October 22, 2015

LONG DESCRIPTION:  On October 22, 2015, Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 706, Restore the ability to use Physical Responsive Reserve Capability as an Indicator of Available Frequency-Responsive Capacity, will be implemented.  NPRR706 was approved by the ERCOT Board on August 11, 2015. 

This NPRR revises the calculation of Physical Responsive Capability (PRC) to more accurately indicate the amount of capacity that is available to respond to a frequency disturbance.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Pursuant to Nodal Protocol Section 21.6, Nodal Protocol Revision Implementation, ERCOT is required to provide notice as soon as practicable, but no later than ten days prior to implementation.
