SHORT DESCRIPTION:  The ERCOT 2015 Type 2 (SOC1) SSAE 16 Report is now available

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  Financial personnel from ERCOT member companies and Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  December 17, 2015

LONG DESCRIPTION: The ERCOT 2015 Type 2 (SOC1) Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) 16 Report for the Service Organization Controls (formerly the SAS 70 Report) is now available. The examination was performed by BrightLine CPAs and Associates. The result of the examination was an Unqualified (clean) Opinion. ERCOT’s Management Assertion is included in Section 2 of the report.

The review period for the 2015 Type 2 (SOC1) examination was October 1, 2014, to September 30, 2015. Type 2 reports present an opinion on management’s description of a service organization’s system and the suitability of the design and operating effectiveness of controls over a period of time.

The report is attached to this Market Notice.
