SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Notification of Change of Generation Resource Designation for Brownsville Public Utilities Board, SILAS RAY POWER PLANT, SILASRAY_SILAS_5

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  April 6, 2016

LONG DESCRIPTION:  On January 27, 2016, ERCOT received a Notification of Change of Generation Resource Designation (NCGRD) for the following Generation Resource with an effective date of April 6, 2016:

• Brownsville Public Utilities Board – SILAS RAY POWER PLANT, SILASRAY_SILAS_5

The NCGRD states that this Mothballed Generation Resource will be decommissioned and retired permanently as of April 6, 2016. 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Pursuant to Section 3.14.1.9(2), ERCOT has posted the notification in the list titled “Notice of Change of Generation Resource Designation” on the Generation page of the Market Information System (MIS) Secure Area.  An ERCOT Digital Certificate is required to access the MIS.
