SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Testing of Series Capacitors on new Lobo to North Edinburg 345 kV Transmission Line

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  May 23, 2016

LONG DESCRIPTION: AEP Texas Central Company will be testing the series capacitors located at the Cenizo and Del Sol substations on the new Lobo to North Edinburg 345 kV Transmission Line on the afternoon of May 23, 2016. 

The Lobo to North Edinburg line will be placed in service, with the series capacitors bypassed, by 9:00 a.m. on May 23, 2016.  The series capacitors will be inserted into the line for testing purposes between 2:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.  After the testing is completed, the series capacitors will be bypassed until further notice.

ERCOT will issue a follow-up Market Notice once the testing is complete or if the testing has to be rescheduled.
