SHORT DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT Operator Certification Update

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  Transmission Operators, TDSPs, QSEs and Power Plant Operators

DAY AFFECTED:  June 01, 2016

LONG DESCRIPTION:  The ERCOT System Operations Training Department working in conjunction with the ERCOT Operations Training Working Group (OTWG) has developed new versions of the ERCOT Fundamentals Manual and the ERCOT Operator Certification Examination that will be released on June 1, 2016 through the ERCOT Website. The target audience for the ERCOT Operator Certification consists of Transmission Operators (TO), Transmission Distribution Service Providers (TDSP), Qualified Scheduling Entities (QSE) and Power Plant Operators. To allow for review of the new materials, testing will be suspended for two weeks post-release (resume third week of June 2016).  

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Please visit the ERCOT Operator Certification page of the ERCOT Website to request to take the exam or to locate the study materials. All testing is held at the ERCOT Facility in Taylor, Texas.
