SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Planned system maintenance with impacted services

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  August 16, 2016 16:30 – 20:30, August 18, 2016 9:30 – 14:00, and August 18, 2016 17:30 – 19:30

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT will be performing planned system maintenance of several databases and applications on August 16 and August 18, 2016.

During the August 16, 2016 16:30 – 20:30 outage window, Market Participants may experience intermittent issues with the following services:

·         MPIM

·         The following ERCOT internet services:

o   Texas Renewables – www.texasrenewables.com

o   Retail Testing Website - etod.ercot.com

·         Market Data Transparency (MDT) Web Services

·         Extract Subscriber

·         Net Dependable Capability and Reactive Capability (NDCRC)

During the August 18, 2016 9:30 – 14:00 outage window, Market Participants may experience intermittent issues with the following services:

·         Report publishing to the ERCOT Market Information System (MIS)

·         Find ESIID

During the August 18, 2016 17:30 – 19:30 outage window, Market Participants may experience intermittent issues with the following services:

·         Market submissions and requests via WebServices, Market Manager and Outage Scheduler

·         Report publishing to the ERCOT MIS

·         Downloading of extracts and reports from the MIS and WebServices

·         Net Dependable Capability and Reactive Capability (NDCRC)

During this outage window, please use the following URLs to directly access the Market Manager, Congestion Revenue Right (CRR) Market User Interface, and Outage Scheduler: 

Note that the outage start times may be delayed depending on the current system conditions.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Reports will be rerun and reposted as applicable. The MIS Dashboards and ERCOT.com price displays will not be populated with data during the August 18, 2016 17:30 – 19:30 timeframe.

ACTION REQUIRED:  During the August 16, 2016 16:30 – 20:30 outage ERCOT will change the public IP address of some market facing services.  This change could impact market participants’ ability to access those services, or receive responses from them.
