SHORT DESCRIPTION: ERCOT postpones the NMMS Upgrade project go live date previously planned for February 13, 2017

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Transmission Service Providers

DAY AFFECTED: February 13, 2017

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT has decided to postpone the go live date of the NMMS Upgrade project after taking into account the performance and stability issues identified during the three Transmission Service Provider (TSP) training sessions completed in January 2017.

ERCOT will continue to test the NMMS product with the vendor until the performance and stability issues have been resolved. A Market Notice will be sent no later than 30 days prior to the new go live date for the NMMS upgrade once the performance and stability issues are resolved.

In an earlier Market Notice “W-A121416-01 Training”, ERCOT requested that NOMCR and SAMR submittals that could be planned ahead of time be submitted prior to or after the software’s transition week so that no submittals occur during the week prior to the cut-over, February 4-10. This restriction is removed and TSPs may submit NOMCRs and SAMRs as necessary until notified of the new go live date and instructions are provided for the system cutover.
