SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Implementation Details of NPRR790

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  February 1, 2017

LONG DESCRIPTION:  On February 1, 2017, Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 790, Addition of Phase Angle Limits to the Network Operations Model, will be implemented.

This Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) requires the Transmission Service Providers to provide and maintain synchronism check relay phase angle limits that are applied to operator-initiated, non-automated control actions of TSP-owned transmission breakers in the ERCOT Network Operations Model.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Pursuant to Nodal Protocol Section 21.6, Nodal Protocol Revision Implementation, ERCOT is required to provide notice as soon as practicable, but no later than ten days prior to implementation.
