SHORT DESCRIPTION: Implementation Details of SCR790
INTENDED AUDIENCE: ERCOT Market Participants
DAY AFFECTED: May 11, 2017
LONG DESCRIPTION: On May 11, 2017, ERCOT will implement System Change Request (SCR) 790, Wind Resource Power Production and Forecast Transparency.
This SCR implements an additional level of spatial granularity to the existing reporting of wind power production and forecasts. The additional area is the Panhandle/North area, which is to be reported along
with the stand-alone West Load Zone and the current system-wide and South/Houston Load Zone aggregations.
Two new report links will be added on the Market Information System (MIS) upon implementation:
1) Wind Power Production - Hourly Averaged Actual and Forecasted Values by Geographical Region (EMIL ID NP4-742-CD, Report ID 14787) to be located on the MIS at Grid > Forecasts > Renewable Generation Forecasts portlet.
2) Wind Power Production - Actual 5-Minute Averaged Values by Geographical Region (EMIL ID NP4-743-CD, Report ID 14788) to be located on the MIS at Grid > Generation > Public Generation Information portlet.
