SHORT DESCRIPTION:  NMMS Go-Live Sequence:  NMMS 1.0 PTC Application Off-Line May 5, 2017 at 4:00.  NMMS Upgrade (NMMS 2.0) Go-Live on May 8, 2017.

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  Transmission Service Providers

DAY AFFECTED:  May 5 - 8, 2017

LONG DESCRIPTION:  The NMMS Upgrade Project will Go-Live on May 8, 2017.  On May 5, 2017 at approximately 4:00 p.m., the current NMMS application, NMMS 1.0, will be taken off-line and will not be available over the weekend of May 6 - 7, 2017.  The new system may be on-line during this week and weekend; however, submittals will not be allowed.  Transmission Service Providers (TSPs) are asked to refrain from saving, submitting, copying, pasting, and building one-lines during any time the new system is on-line from May 2 to the morning of May 8. 

On May 8, 2017 at approximately 8:00 a.m., the new NMMS will be available for submission of essential change requests.  Please use the MOTE’s SGEM environment for non-essential work such as practice-use.

SHORT DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT confirms the NMMS Upgrade project will go live on May 8, 2017

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT confirms that the Network Modeling Management System (NMMS) Upgrade Project will Go-Live on May 8, 2017. 

The NMMS Upgrade Project will Go-Live on May 8, 2017.  There will be a 1-week no-submittal period of NOMCRs from May 2 to May 5 unless it is a DPC.  On May 5th at approximately 4:00 p.m., the current NMMS application will be taken off-line and will not be available over the weekend of May 6-7, 2017.  The new system may be on-line during this week and weekend; however, submittals will not be allowed.  TSPs are asked to refrain from saving, submitting, copying, pasting, and building one-lines during any time the new system is on-line from May 2 to the morning of May 8.  On May 8, 2017 at approximately 8:00 a.m., the new NMMS will be available for submission of change requests. 

A refresher session will be provided to TSPs at the April 18, 2017 NDSWG meeting in Taylor TCC1 room 253 and will also be made available via the NDSWG meeting’s WebEx for those unable to attend.  This session will begin after NDSWG topics have been covered, where the estimated start time of the session will be around noon.  Attendees need to RSVP [log in to unmask]; Enrollment in NDSWG/NMMS upgrade training will be limited to 30 for those attending in person.  In order to maximize the effectiveness of the training for those attending in-person, ERCOT might be limited in support for WebEx attendees during the training.  The training environment will occur on the same system used for the NMMS Go-Live “Production – ERCOT SGEM System”, where previously ERCOT gave attendees during and after the training in January, instructions for TSPs to connect to the NMMS production environment. If you have not successfully connected to the Production ERCOT SGEM System, contact Jay Teixeira at [log in to unmask].
