SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Fuel Index Vendor Changes

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  August 2, 2017

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT will be changing the vendor that supplies the Fuel Index Price (FIP) and the Fuel Oil Price (FOP) as defined in Section 2 of the Protocols. ERCOT will begin using prices supplied by Argus Media effective Operating Day August 2, 2017, and continuing thereafter.

ERCOT will make the following pricing changes:

·         The vendor for the FIP, based on Houston Ship Channel price, currently used by ERCOT will be replaced with the Argus Natural Gas Americas “Houston Ship Channel (ALL)”.

 

·         The vendor for the FOP, based on the Houston pipeline price, currently used by ERCOT will be replaced with the Argus US Products “Colonial Pipeline Heating Oil 77” - prompt cycle.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  ERCOT will send an additional Market Notice 10 days prior to the change.

ERCOT will also post notice of this change on the “Fuel and Emissions Vendor Names” document to ERCOT.com..
