SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Informational workshop on Mass Transition of ESI IDs between TDSPs (Sharyland to Oncor)

LONG DESCRIPTION:  On August 15, 2017, ERCOT will host an informational workshop on a proposed Mass Transition of Transmission and Distribution Service Provider (TDSP) ESI IDs from Sharyland Utilities to ONCOR Electric Delivery Company. 

The proposed Mass Transition of TDSP ESI IDs is part of a proposed exchange of retail distribution assets and retail distribution operations from Sharyland Utilities for a set of ONCOR Electric Delivery Company transmission lines. Information on the proposed transfer of assets can be found on the web sites of Sharyland Utilities and ONCOR.

 

The purpose of the workshop is to initiate discussions about the Mass Transition process of TDSP ESI IDs between the TDSPs involved in the Mass Transition and Retail Electric Providers serving retail customers in the impacted service areas.   

Retail Electric Providers that currently serve or intend to serve retail Customers in the service areas for Sharyland Utilities LP and Sharyland Utilities LP McAllen are encouraged to attend this workshop to receive the latest information on the proposed Mass Transition.  The TDSPs will provide a status update on their efforts to secure approval for the transfer of assets between the utilities and describe their preparations for the Mass Transition process.  The workshop will also allow REPs to ask questions to the TDSPs and ERCOT and provide feedback about the Mass Transition Process of TDSP ESI IDs.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Information on the proposed transition of retail customers can be found on the web sites of Sharyland Utilities and ONCOR.
