SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Informational workshop #3 on Mass Transition of ESI IDs between TDSPs (Sharyland to Oncor)

LONG DESCRIPTION:  On October 4, 2017, ERCOT will host a third informational workshop on the proposed Mass Transition of Transmission and Distribution Service Provider (TDSP) ESI IDs from Sharyland Utilities to ONCOR Electric Delivery Company. 

The workshop continues discussions between Retail Electric Providers (REPs), ERCOT and the TDSPs involved in the Mass Transition of TDSP ESI IDs included in the proposed exchange of retail distribution assets and retail distribution operations from Sharyland Utilities for a set of ONCOR Electric Delivery Company transmission lines.  Information on the proposed transfer of assets can be found on the web sites of Sharyland Utilities and ONCOR.

 

REPs that currently serve or intend to serve retail Customers in the service areas for Sharyland Utilities LP and Sharyland Utilities LP McAllen are encouraged to attend this workshop.  The TDSPs will provide status updates on their efforts to secure approval for the transfer of retail distribution assets and retail operations, describe their preparations for the Mass Transition process and provide responses to questions from REPs.   The workshop will also allow REPs to provide feedback and ask additional questions to the TDSPs and ERCOT and about the Mass Transition Process.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  The workshop will be held at ERCOT’s offices in Austin and will be available via WebEx for those unable to attend in person. REPs are encouraged to submit questions they would like to have addressed by the TDSPs or ERCOT via e-mail no later than September 27, 2017.
