SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Proposal to Modify Mitchell Bend Remedial Action Scheme

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  Comments due October 23, 2017

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT has received a proposal from Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC (Oncor) to modify the Remedial Action Scheme (RAS) at Mitchell Bend. The Mitchell Bend RAS is designed to monitor and relieve thermal violations on the Mitchell Bend – Rocky Creek 345 kV line and Mitchell Bend – DeCordova 345 kV line under various system conditions.

 

Oncor has upgraded the Mitchell Bend – DeCordova 345 kV line and hence is proposing to modify the RAS.

 

The proposal to modify the Mitchell Bend RAS is being reviewed by ERCOT. Comments on the proposal are due by October 23, 2017 and should be submitted to [log in to unmask] using the attached comment form.  Any questions or concerns submitted by this date will be addressed by ERCOT or Oncor.

 

ACTION REQUIRED:  Any comments to this proposal are due to ERCOT by October 23, 2017, using the attached form.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Information regarding all RASs can be found in the “Remedial Action Schemes and Constraint Management Plans” portlet located on the Long-Term Planning page of ERCOT’s Market Information System (MIS). A Digital Certificate is required to access the MIS.
