SHORT DESCRIPTION: Update - Proposal to Modify Mitchell Bend Remedial Action Scheme

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT has completed its review of the Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC (Oncor) proposal to modify the Remedial Action Scheme (RAS) at Mitchell Bend. The Mitchell Bend RAS is designed to monitor and relieve thermal violations on the Mitchell Bend – Rocky Creek 345 kV line and Mitchell Bend – DeCordova 345 kV line under various system conditions. Oncor has upgraded the Mitchell Bend – DeCordova 345 kV line.

ERCOT is approving the proposal to modify the Mitchell Bend RAS.

The Mitchell Bend RAS is scheduled to be updated on or after December 19, 2017.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Information regarding all RASs can be found in the “Remedial Action Schemes and Constraint Management Plans” portlet located on the Long-Term Planning page of ERCOT’s Market Information System (MIS). A digital certificate is required to access the MIS.
