NOTICE TYPE: M-A071917-13 CRR

SHORT DESCRIPTION: Reminder that the CRR requalification period for the MUI upgrade ends December 8, 2017

INTENDED AUDIENCE: CRR Account Holders and Counter-Parties

DAYS AFFECTED: December 8, 2017, and January 22, 2018

LONG DESCRIPTION: The Congestion Revenue Right (CRR) Market User Interface (MUI) will be upgraded on January 22, 2018, to be compatible with the latest web browsers and to remove Java applets and the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) requirement.

This is a reminder that prior to the implementation of the upgraded MUI, all registered CRR Account Holders and their Counter-Parties are required to pass a requalification test to ensure that they can use the new MUI to perform auction activities. Passing the test will be required to participate in any CRR Auctions taking place after the upgrade is implemented. The requalification period will end on December 8, 2017. Currently, 96% of the registered CRR Account Holders have been requalified.

Additionally, ERCOT will stop qualifying newly registered CRR Account Holders on the current MUI December 8, 2017. After this date, all new CRR Account Holders will only be qualified on the upgraded MUI and will only be able to participate in auctions taking place after January 22, 2018.

ACTION REQUIRED: CRR Account Holders, and their Counter-Parties, that have not already completed the requalification test must do so no later than December 8, 2017. The requalification test is to be performed in the Market Operations Test Environment (MOTE), which can be accessed at https://testing.ercot.com/. An active MOTE digital certificate is required to access the site. If needed, registered User Security Administrators (USAs) can request digital certificates via email to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Supporting documentation for the upgrade, including the CRR MUI Upgrade Requalification Process and Scorecard, is posted on the CRR webpage<http://www.ercot.com/mktinfo/crr>, under CRR MUI UPGRADE.
