NOTICE TYPE: M-B011218-01 Extracts

SHORT DESCRIPTION: New File Format for Historical Transmission and Distribution Loss Factors

INTENDED AUDIENCE: QSEs, LSEs

DAY AFFECTED: February 5, 2018

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT has automated the process of creating the file containing historical transmission and distribution losses. The current process produces and publishes four files which are posted on the Data Aggregation page of ERCOT.com<http://www.ercot.com/mktinfo/data_agg> under Key Documents. The four files are named DLF actual for YYYY, DLF forecasted for YYYY, TLF actual for YYYY, and TLF forecasted for YYYY where YYYY represents the current year.

The new process will be implemented on February 5, 2018 and will create a single file with four separate tabs and the display name will be Historical Loss Factors. The tab names will be ACTUAL_TLF, FORECASTED_TLF, ACTUAL_DLF, and FORECASTED_DLF. The filename will be 'Historical Loss Factors_YYYY-MM-DD_thru_YYYY-MM-DD_YYYYMMDD.xlsx' where the first YYYY-MM-DD will be the report begin date and the second will be the report end date. The YYYYMMDD date will be the date the file was created. This single file will not be zipped and will be posted on the Data Aggregation page of ERCOT.com<http://www.ercot.com/mktinfo/data_agg> under Key Documents.

Attached is a sample file which contains the data for the first half of 2017.

ACTION REQUIRED: Market Participants with automated systems that retrieve and/or process this data will need to make the necessary modifications to utilize the single file and associated file format differences.
