SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Change to Day-Ahead Market to address delay

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  January 22, 2018

LONG DESCRIPTION:  In accordance with the ERCOT Day-Ahead Market Operating Procedure Manual, ERCOT has reduced the number of contingencies being solved by the Day-Ahead Market (DAM) in order to address software issues. All 69kV contingencies are being disabled, with the exception of SE_HLA_9, which is the only 69kV contingency that has been part of a binding constraint in Real-Time during the last 30 days.

This reduced contingency set will continue in future DAMs until the issues are resolved. A follow-up Market Notice will be sent at that time. ERCOT Operations will continue using the full contingency set.
