A key objective is for PTI's subject matter expert to assist in validating GIC models, to comply with NERCP TPL-007-1 R2-requirements (enforceable July 1 2018). If you are staying in a hotel near the MET (or the airport), please be aware that your commute to TRE may easily take 30 minutes. On Monday March 5. due to traffic and other factors we will have coffee and check-in from 9:00-9:30a, with the session starting at 9:30a. We will have a catered lunch around 12:30p, and will end the day at 4~4:30p. When closing on Monday we will settle on the start and end times for Tues. When we settle on the catering vendor we will solicit your menu choices and do what we can to accommodate any health (allergies) or dietary restrictions (vegetarian, halal, Kosher, etc.) We realize that some of you are participating in the System Protection Working Group (SPWG) March 6-7 and we have requested that the SME/instructor perform analysis on your models as early as possible on Tues so you can depart for the ERCOT MET center before noon. We have also requested the SPWG adjust their morning agenda in light of this situation. We also are aware that others are participating in the PGDTF meeting March 7-9 at the MET; if there is anything we can help you with regarding that meeting please ask. IMPORTANT Please arrange to have your IT service groups provide you a laptop with your licensed version of PSS-E and GIC installed, and your models loaded for use during the training and validation. For anyone with difficulty having a licensed version of PSS-E and GIC, the instructor will provide you a training license for use during the workshop. Per our previous message the price is $1,398.35 each for non-ERCOT attendees. We need your RSVP (intent at least) ASAP - before Feb 21 so that the vendor's training coordinator can assist you in registering and payment tasks, and so we can finalize catering and other logistics. Due to confidentiality of the data this course will be limited to ERCOT TSPs the same as the Face-To-Face GIC Model Review meetings are limited to employees of ERCOT TSPs.
