SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Notice of application filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) proposing resolution of jurisdictional concerns arising out of operation of ERCOT-CFE Direct Current (DC) Ties

LONG DESCRIPTION:  In connection with Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 861, Clarification of ERCOT's Authority to Protect Its Jurisdictional Status, ERCOT committed to notify its Market Participants and Corporate Members of developments concerning efforts to address jurisdictional issues associated with the ERCOT-CFE DC Ties.  On March 28, 2018, AEP Energy Partners, Inc. filed an Application under section 211 of the Federal Power Act requesting that the FERC order Sharyland Utilities, L.P., AEP Texas, Inc., and Electric Transmission of Texas, LLC to provide transmission services over the ERCOT-CFE DC Ties.  The Application was assigned FERC Docket No. TX18-1-000, and is attached.  Any person desiring to intervene or to protest the Application must file in accordance with the FERC's Rules of Practice and Procedure on or before the comment date, April 18, 2018.
