SHORT DESCRIPTION: Update - Annual Constraint Management Plans Review

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Transmission Operators and/or Resource Entities with Transmission Facilities

DAY AFFECTED: April 9, 2018

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT has posted the final study case that will be used for the Annual Constraint Management Plan (CMP) review on the Market Information System (MIS) on the Long-Term Planning page at the link below. If there are any CMP proposals for 2018 that are yet to be submitted, these must be sent to ERCOT by April 9, 2018.

Submitted Remedial Action Schemes (RASs) and Constraint Management Plans (CMPs)

Any proposed CMPs are required to be submitted using the templates attached with this Market Notice. Also, Transmission Operators and/or Resource Entities with Bulk Electric System (BES) elements specified as a part of approved or proposed CMPs are required to provide the “Relay Limitations” for the BES elements to ERCOT for this review. Furthermore, if any submitted CMPs are developed using a power flow case that is different from the one provided, please include the case file along with your submission (in RAW or PowerWorld format).

SHORT DESCRIPTION: Annual Constraint Management Plans Review

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Transmission Operators and/or Resource Entities with Transmission Facilities, impacted by existing Constraint Management Plans (CMP) or those proposing new CMPs.

DAY AFFECTED: March 23, 2018

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT is initiating its annual Constraint Management Plans Review which includes Remedial Action Plans (RAPs), Mitigation Plans (MPs), Pre-Contingency Action Plans (PCAPs), and Automatic Mitigation Plans (AMPs). The study case that will be used for this review has been posted on the Market Information System (MIS) Long-Term Planning page at the link below:

Submitted Remedial Action Schemes (RASs) and Constraint Management Plans (CMPs)

Transmission Operators and/or Resource Entities with Transmission Facilities that are impacted by existing CMPs, or that are proposing new CMPs, are requested to review this case and provide any comments and/or case updates (including details about any planned equipment outage that is expected to last more than 30 days in the Summer Season) to ERCOT no later than March 23, 2018.

Additionally, if any CMPs are to be proposed for 2018, these must be sent using the attached templates to ERCOT by March 23, 2018. Furthermore, if any submitted CMPs are developed using a power flow case that is different from the one provided, please include the case file along with your submission (in RAW or PowerWorld format).
