SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Proposal to Retire Permian Basin Remedial Action Scheme

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  Comments due May 15, 2018

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT has received a proposal from Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC (Oncor) to retire the Remedial Action Scheme (RAS) at Permian Basin Switching Station (PBSES). The PBSES RAS is designed to monitor and relieve thermal violations on the Permian Basin – Ward Gulf Tap – Wink 138 kV line (6545_A). Oncor has indicated that there have been changes to the transmission system in the area, including the installation of new stations Aroya, Wolf Switch, and Yucca Drive, and the lines exiting PBSES have been reconfigured and connected to new stations.

The proposal to retire the PBSES RAS is being reviewed by ERCOT.

Comments on the proposal are due by May 15, 2018 and should be submitted to [log in to unmask] using the attached comment form.  Any questions or concerns submitted by this date will be addressed by ERCOT or Oncor.

ACTION REQUIRED:  Comments to this proposal are due to ERCOT by May 15, 2018 using the attached form.
