LONG DESCRIPTION:
On
May 18, 2018, ERCOT will be implementing a modified maximum Shadow Price for a constraint that was found to be irresolvable per the criteria defined in Section 3.6.1 of the business practice document,
Setting the Shadow Price Caps and Power Balance Penalties in Security Constrained Economic Dispatch, which can be found in the Other Binding Document (OBD), Methodology for Setting Maximum Shadow Prices for Network and Power Balance Constraints. The
update to the maximum Shadow Price will occur between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM Central Prevailing Time (CPT) on May 18, 2018. The contingency/constraint pair and updated maximum Shadow Price are as follows:

This new maximum Shadow Price will be used for all constraints in
Security Constrained Economic Dispatch (SCED), which share the same monitored element (i.e. constraint name) and direction.
