Subject: RE: Question on NERC Announcement: Geomagnetic Disturbance Task Force Meeting (GMDTF) | June 13, 2018 - Charlotte, NC
Michael- our draft agenda is attached. I wondered if you would be interested in participating in the industry discussion topic (Item 6). Would love to once again hear about the progress that is being made in
the region and include your experience. It was valuable having Larisa Loyferman participate in January. At the June meeting, we were hoping to continue sharing information among planning organizations. Some topics of interest include:
-If you are running GIC studies, what kind of values are you seeing? How many transformers are above the 75 A/phase threshold for the benchmark.
- how are you approaching harmonics (I am working on getting a Schweitzer guy to also share insights).
-what problems are you encountering in running the GIC studies.
Hope this is something you can consider. -Mark
