PGDTF:

I reviewed the RSAW provided in the e-mail below.

I was not able to find any language that indicates we will be expected to employ the same load flow cases that we use to calculate GIC flows for transformer thermal assessments (R5) to also complete our GMD Vulnerability Assessment (R4).

Put another way, I was not able to find any language in the TPL-007-1 Standard or the RSAW for that standard that would restrict us from employing our existing GIC models (with 04122018 in the name) to calculate and post final GIC flow information to satisfy our R5 requirements but then use different load flow cases (perhaps 18SSWG22 SUM1 and MIN) and updated *.gic files to complete our GMD Vulnerability Assessment to satisfy our R4 requirements.

If any of you are aware that I overlooked something in any NERC written document restricting us from employing different load flow cases to satisfy these two requirements , can you please point all of us to that language?

Subject: Suggestion for review of Draft Vulnerability Assessment Scope

PGDTF members,

After submitting Oncor's comments on the draft scope, I remembered a good practice for developing scopes for meeting the requirements in a NERC standard is to compare the scope to the RSAW for the standard. An auditor will use the RSAW in an audit of an entity's response to the standard. We can use the attached RSAW in our review of the draft Vulnerability Assessment Scope.

Thanks,
