The Monticello B RAS is designed to monitor and relieve thermal violations on the Farmersville - Royse double circuit, and the following 345 kV lines: Monticello - Sulphur Springs; Monticello - Allen Switch; and Monticello - Farmersville Switching Station #1. ERCOT is approving the proposal to retire the Monticello B RAS. The Monticello B RAS is scheduled to be retired on June 18, 2018.
