Specifically, paragraphs (1) and (2) of Section 3.1.8, Planning Geomagnetic Disturbance (GMD) Activities, have been unboxed. Remaining portions of PGRR057 will be implemented at a later date. PGRR057 aligns the Planning Guides with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Reliability Standard TPL-007-1, Transmission System Planned Performance for Geomagnetic Disturbance Events, by identifying responsibilities for performing studies needed to complete GMD vulnerability assessments. Accordingly, ERCOT has posted preliminary GIC flow results in preparation to meet NERC Reliability Standard TPL-007-1, Requirement 5 and requests that TSPs and REs provide comments on the preliminary GIC flow results.
