SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Retiring of the Hicks Switch – Roanoke Double Circuit 345 kV line RAP

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  August 29, 2018

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT is retiring the Hicks Switch – Roanoke Double Circuit 345 kV line Remedial Action Plan (RAP). This RAP was designed to monitor and relieve thermal violations on the Wagley Robertson – Blue Mound 138 kV line under contingency loss of the Hicks Switch – Roanoke double circuit 345kV line. The retiring of the RAP has been approved by the affected Transmission Operator and is scheduled to be retired from ERCOT applications on August 29, 2018. The RAP is currently disabled and will remain disabled until it is retired.

   

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Information regarding RAPs can be found in the “Remedial Action Schemes and Constraint Management Plans” portlet located on the Long-Term Planning page of ERCOT’s Market Information System (MIS). A Digital Certificate is required to access the MIS.
