SHORT DESCRIPTION: Addition of new transmission equipment types to the ERCOT Outage Scheduler

INTENDED AUDIENCE: TSPs and QSEs

DAYS AFFECTED: October 10, 2018

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT will be implementing a project (Synchronous Condenser Outage Scheduler project) that will add new transmission equipment types to the Outage Scheduler application between October 23 and October 25, 2018.

The "Synchronous Condenser Outage Scheduler" project adds the following new transmission equipment types to the Outage Scheduler.

********* Synchronous Condenser (SCM),

********* Shunt Reactor (SR) and

********* Shunt Capacitor (CP).

The Static VAR Compensator (SVC) equipment type previously included Shunt Reactors, Shunt Capacitors and Static VAR Compensators.

TSPs and QSEs can access the Market Operations Test Environment (MOTE) and test outage scheduler submittals with the new transmission equipment types on or around October 10, 2018.

The XML Schema Definitions (XSDs) used by Market Participants for External Web Services (EWS) / Application Programmatic Interface (API) will be changed to add the new equipment types.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: A draft version of the XSD document including the new equipment types named "ERCOT Outage Types - DRAFT<http://www.ercot.com/content/wcm/lists/89535/ErcotOutageTypesDRAFT.xsd>" is posted on the XSDs<http://www.ercot.com/services/mdt/xsds> page of the ERCOT website. A Market Notice will be sent prior to the implementation of this project when the final XSD document with an updated Outage Scheduler equipment list is posted.

The Outage Scheduler Equipment List MOTE (EMIL ID NP3-141-M, Report Type ID 14346) on the "Network Operations Model" portlet of the Long-Term Planning<https://mis.ercot.com/pps/tibco/mis/Pages/Grid+Information/Long+Term+Planning> page of the Market Information System (MIS) will also be updated on implementation.
