SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Implementation Details of PGRR063

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  Resource Entities (REs) and Transmission Service Providers (TSPs)

DAY AFFECTED:  December 14, 2018

LONG DESCRIPTION:  On December 14, 2018, the Planning Guide language related to Planning Guide Revision Request (PGRR) 063, Transmission Interconnection Study, will be implemented.

This PGRR outlines the process to evaluate the reliability impact of any transmission projects 100 kV or above that are expected to be in-service before the completion of the next Regional Transmission Plan that were not included in the current Regional Transmission Plan, a Regional Planning Group (RPG) project submission, or a Generation Interconnection or Change Request (GINR) study.  This PGRR satisfies Requirement R1 of the North America Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Reliability Standard FAC-002-2, Facility Interconnection Studies.  By definition, these projects would include Tier 4 transmission projects that are connected at or above 100 kV. 

To accommodate the reporting requirement as outlined in Planning Guide Section 3.1.9(1)(c), a new report will be implemented:
