INTENDED AUDIENCE: All Transmission Operators (TOs) and Qualified Scheduling Entity (QSE) operators who represent Generation and Load Resources on ERCOT Transmission Grid that are required to participate in 32 hours per year of training and drills on system emergencies. DAY AFFECTED: Early registration is now available December 21, 2018 - January 21, 2019. LONG DESCRIPTION: Early registration for the 2019 ERCOT Black Start Training has now opened for all Entities. The 2019 training will consist of two courses: Black Start Fundamentals, a required Computer-Based Training (CBT) to be completed prior to arrival, and annual Black Start Training. Information pertaining to the required CBT will be sent out separately, via email, after registration is confirmed. The fee for early registration is $500 per person if registered between December 21, 2018 and January 21, 2019. The fee for registration after January 21, 2019 is $550 per person. . Registration fees are non-refundable regardless of the reason for the cancellation. Please see the registration information sheet attached to this Market Notice for registration and training details. For completion of the required Black Start Fundamentals Computer-Based Training, up to two (2) NERC approved Continuing Education Hours (CEHs) may be awarded. For completion of the annual Black Start Training three-day session, up to twenty-five (25) NERC approved Continuing Education Hours (CEHs) may be awarded, sixteen (16) of which will count toward the ERCOT/Simulation requirement.
