SHORT DESCRIPTION: Reminder - Implementation Details of NPRR909

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Qualified Scheduling Entities (QSEs)

DAY AFFECTED: June 1, 2019

LONG DESCRIPTION: On June 1, 2019, Protocol language related to Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 909, Address Unavailability Gap for ERS and Other Minor Clarifications, will be implemented.

Updates to Emergency Response Service (ERS) made by NPRR909 include the following:

Revisions to Protocol Section 8.1.3.1.3.1, Time Period Availability Calculations for Emergency Response Service Loads, to address periods of unavailability due to unplanned unavailability for ERS Loads and ERS Generators.
Revisions to Protocol Section 8.1.3.1.3.2, Time Period Availability Calculations for Emergency Response Service Generators, to clarify how an ERS Generator's failure during an event impacts the availability calculation.
Revisions to Protocol Section 3.14.3.3, Emergency Response Service Provision and Technical Requirements, to clarify that Weather-Sensitive ERS testing does not count towards the cumulative deployment obligation time.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Pursuant to Nodal Protocol Section 21.6, Nodal Protocol Revision Implementation, ERCOT is required to provide notice as soon as practicable, but no later than ten days prior to implementation.
