SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Implementation Details of NPRR912

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  May 31, 2019

LONG DESCRIPTION:  On May 31, 2019, Protocol language related to Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 912, Settlement of Switchable Generation Resources (SWGRs) Instructed to Switch to ERCOT, will be implemented.

This NPRR provides a dispute process to address the Settlement of SWGRs that receive a Reliability Unit Commitment (RUC) instruction to switch from a non-ERCOT Control Area to the ERCOT Control Area during an actual or anticipated Energy Emergency Alert (EEA) condition. ERCOT will issue a miscellaneous Invoice to the QSEs for the Settlement of Switchable Generation Make-Whole Payments and Charges.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Pursuant to Nodal Protocol Section 21.6, Nodal Protocol Revision Implementation, ERCOT is required to provide notice as soon as practicable, but no later than ten days prior to implementation.
